Who do you know that we can get to import these things?

I have the impression that if Kawasaki decides to bring the new ZX-25R to Australia, Honda will do the same with the new CBR250RR. They don't seem interested on our small market, but whenever one of them does something new, the others have no option but copy it. Let's keep hoping...

If neither Kawasaki nor Honda bring these bikes out, doesn't that classify them as "grey" imports?

Not sure if there is more up to date info than this but based on the conditions down lower in the article probably wont be available as a Grey Import... and if shows the "intent" to import it.. then again.. no, at least that is how I read it.

Personal import scheme is probably the easiest way to get one, but you have to be living overseas and have the bike in your name for a year, and be permanently moving to Australia.

I'm in the lucky position to able to pull it off (maybe) as my wife is Thai and I'd love to live in Thailand for a year or so, and my wife wants to live here permanently obviously ;)

Well it might just beat the mighty Honda CBR250R ('CBR' really?) race replica.

Came from Brisbane m/c as they don't do them in the UK.. 600aud and I won't mention the shipping and customs..the rear tyre is a pig to get hold of 140/60/18 in anything sticky.. Zxr250 boffins are in the same boat no doubt.. if you land the dream job a dunlop, pm me your number, we can do business!!!!

It's going to be available in New Zealand gents.. NOT LAMS approved so more than 45hp? Not sure what the exchange rate is but sounds expensive.. Screenshot_20200608-181258.png

$16k New Zealand is about $14850 in aus , interesting that it is not lams approved , from what I can see , NZ use the same lams system as Australia.

the rvf400 is lams approved at 53 horsepower and the 400 bandit with 59hp is not , so the question begs , how many ponies will it have ? Maybe the rumoured 55hp wasn’t such a silly number

also final specs are not released , you can’t expect people to pony up those $ without releasing the specs .

Ouch..thats somewhere near £8500 in the queens money before the issue of getting one onto a boat and registered back over here..that hurts a lot..premium pricing for a premium model but that's mega $$$$$$. Have to start playing the lottery me thinks and hitting the overtime..never say never!! Interesting with the LAMS info mate..is the LAMS approval based solely on an upper power limit or a power to weight ratio?

    All the best from blighty,

    Si
