    Hey guys,

I'm slowly turning my crashed Across into a streetfighter build. The rear indicators are original, but my front indicators are some aftermarket universal LED replacement ones. When I wired them in, they wouldn't blink. So I shoved some inline resistors in there, but it still won't blink. I think the resistors are 10ohm each, and there's one on either side. When I indicate left, the left indicator does light up, just no blinking. Same for the right hand. I'm making a guess here and I think I need another resistor in there. The original bulbs are 12V23W each.

Can anybody help me out? Is this me needing more resistance, or another issue?

You need a flasher relay compatible with LED's. The fact your are mixing LED and incandescent also doesn't help.

You could try swapping your 10 Ohm resistor's for some 1 watt 220 Ohm resistor's, 48c for a pair at Jaycar, Part Number RR2558
Cut the positive lead from the led indicator and solder the resistor to the wire's and use heatshrink over the top to insulate it

I'll be interested to see how you go. I tried installing LED indicators on one of my other bike, with resistors I bought from ebay and using the standard relay. The resistors made no difference at all, no matter how they were connected to the LED indicators. Followed the instructions and no difference - still blinked too fast. No matter what configuration I tried, the resistor made no difference at all. Ended up buying a relay for LED indicators and that worked - indicators now blinking at a normal rate.

    Yeah,

I think the thing is that most sellers on ebay Australia buy in bulk cheap on Aliexpress. Then sell it for around 3 or 4 times what they pay for it in Australia on ebay.

I totally forgot about this thread. Turns out I'm dumb and didn't realise I couldn't mix led and halogen. Got some aftermarket halogens, whacked them in, and it worked fine. So it turned out great, but not with the led's haha.
