unsure what to do with it atm, missing a tank and a few plastics, the frame is rusty be perhaps salvageable for the right person

ANYWAYS! It has good comp what I can tell, but only got it today....

Posting some pics , basically guys what do I do with it, if someone wants it let’s have a chat

Could be fun, smaller capacity enduro, what about Supermoto conversion - I believe both FZR250 2KR and CBR250rr wheels are popular for that

Has it got a compliance plate still?

Looks like a kdx200a/b model: drums front and rear, no kips power valve, tank mount is different. The vin might confirm it, make sure it isn't a 175/125 or such.

It might be of interest to the pre-85 vinduro people, worth more as parts than whole, probably.

Sorry to ask, but what do you mean by 175/125 mate

I oooked at parting it out as yes you are correct they seem to be worth more in parts than complete in this condition !

I just wanted the powers to have a look first and advise me what to do OR pass it onto one of you guys etc

There were kdx175 before going to the 200 in 83(?). And kdx125 also existed, as well as a couple of kdx250 models. Kiffsta has parts from the water-cooled model, so I doubt it'll match, but you can try. I had a couple of D model bikes, one was only good for a few parts, but it might have helped. They were competent bikes in their day.

    Thanks mate for your reply

I think I may end up just parting it out as I think the main effort as I await parts for the zxr will be getting the kx80 going that came with it

there was a silly idea being thrown around of trying to get he kdx200 engine in the kx80 but basically I think the 80 will be ripper fun at dusthustle

If you've seen the kids racing them, those 80/85 go pretty hard. I've considered getting one myself. Apparently TM Racing make an 85 in a full-size frame.

You could list the kdx whole for $500 or so on the Facebook groups like vinduro rescue and such, with the line "will part out if I get enough interest." Selling it whole just makes life easier.

The only problem, well it's not really a problem as such just a difference, the air cooled two strokes generated so much noise just from the piston cylinder which gets broadcast from the cooling fins, a water jacket tames that noise, and that's before the ping ping ping of the exhaust on mid throttle

That said I still miss my IT465 in all of it's noisiness

Mmmmm wait, so we don’t want more obnoxious noise?? :)

isn’t that some of the best part ! I’m part deaf so rin rin rins I thouroughly enjoy

but yes the 80 do go hard from what I can see, it’s a 92 model and I’m not to bad nick, just fiddling with the cylinder head (jug) atm to see if it’s neeeds a new nicksil or an iron sleeve, maybe a light hone new piston and should be right to go gearbox and cases are mint for sitting for so long

OOH, I didn't say the noise was obnoxious, somehow I managed to ride the IT465, commuting through traffic for three years without ever getting pulled over and that was with a YZ chamber and aftermarket MX tailpipe - I was gone in a puff of smoke like a Magcian

Running, that's good. You could try negotiate a price, but be quick.
