Pulled the carb on my 81 KZ250G LTD. Just as I feared, diaphragm is torn. Any ideas on where to find a new replacement? Its a single, CVK32.

Nearest kawi dealer said $380 from Japan!

I decided to strip down one of the SL125's to stockpile what I could from it.. and give me back some room in the garage.
Turns out the frame that has been brazed will go to the bike graveyard... the head is twisted and slightly offset and the steering tube has a distinct bend in it so she has had a really good hit front on.

Salvageable items... Battery box.. tank, footpeg bracket, bash plate, engine and (most likely) swing arm.
Rear shocks are toast.. front and rear hubs are pretty poor in the brake drum area.. rear rim looks to be not too bad.
I need to get plenty of heat onto the swingarm bolt as it will not move much at all right now... and I cant fit the frame into my press right now.. but the Ryobi Cordless grinder method might work :)

SRX play time tomorrow I think... try and move things on a bit there....

That frame would be perfect for a bobber/chopper/cafe bike builder, they are going to cut them up anyway. :lolsign:

Well if there is anyone that wants it... it is theirs, unless the Ryobi method of swing arm removal is pout into action tomorrow :)

I went for a little drive (to Brisbane) to pick a bike I was buying off of @kiffsta. Since I was going that way, I asked a couple of other people if they wanted anything taking while I am going. That escalated quickly: upgraded the vehicle and trailer, 6 extra stops! When it came time to load up, there wasn't room for the bike! I was going to put it on top of the load, but it would have been precariously mounted (if we could get it up there safely) and may not have made the 750km home. Big thanks to @kiffsta for his help and (immense) patience! See you next trip...

Just bought myself an 81 cbx1000, ohhhh a 6 Cylinder bike ... fairings and stays are off as it has just been painted , a bit of reassembly and I should be good to go.

to get the hp of the dual shock you need to change to the earlier advance plate.

Cool! Is that rear disc slightly worn or am I seeing things? Maybe it was once owned by one of those 'you can't use the front brake or you will crash' people.
