Hey all, I recently purchased a vtr 250, 2000 model, good price and condition but not starting, cleaned jets, set float levels, new plugs, runs like a dream. Problem is, when i bought it, it came with the body fairing but for the life of me I can't see how it bolts on. I can see the bolt holes in the fibreglass, two each side which look like they would allow me to bolt it to the frame....if only there was something to bolt it to. Is there a clip I'm missing or am I just losing it...... anyone wanna snap a picky of where it bolts onto if that is all it is. My temporary sanity thanks you in advance, cheers Raymond. Wonder if you need some sort of P clamps as some bikes use them to fit panels, my bike included.
I can supply a picture if it helps ?.

so here's some pics, you can clearly see the holes and that it's an exact fit where the cutaways are so I'm thinking p clamps too. The previous owner said he just unbolted the fairing when I asked if there were any clamps so who knows.

The VTR is a naked bike. Never seen a fairing for one before.

Thanks everyone. Well it looks like I'll just have to fab some mounts up, it's a nice looking fairing, half fibreglass and the bottom half is carbon fibre. Must be an aftermarket unit. It's a good fit and I wouldn't mind fitting it. Until then I'll have to ride it naked....... Ride safe.

Definitely aftermarket. That seat could do with some attention as well.

I would run that fairing. looks good. Now, all you need is an aftermarket shroud for the headlight and you'd have a pretty unique VTR.
