Love that "Speedway Royale" link. Off topic, but our local was the Brisbane exhibition ground speedway. It was weird in that it combined wholesome family fun with drunken feral behavior...just seemed normal to us youngsters. I always enjoyed the big saloons probably because in my very early years (before moving to Brisbane) we watched them racing around Carnell Raceway in Stanthorpe. Mostly 6-cylinder, 3-carb jobbies and a few V8's for comedy relief. That track was super slippery. I've got some black&white photos somewhere, which I must try and find and scan before they fade away to nothing.

The Brisbane Exhibition grounds track is long gone, but here are some links for anyone interested...

I received an early Christmas present to myself.
A Janes Zinc plating kit. Should be able to produce some nice sparkling nuts and bolts after Christmas.

Finally received a replacement solo seat and tail piece for my gsxr ex race bike. Previous one parted company from the bike somewhere between Goulbourn and Campbelltown after a race meeting. These parts are rare as hens teeth. Couldn't believe it when the unobtainable part came up on eBay at a reasonable price. Jus have to find the latch somewhere in the shed. 080EEC18-BD61-47A6-BEB1-DC8B0FB3F365.jpeg 72C6277A-54E8-43BB-A0B9-23D734B065CF.jpeg

Yes, once again the shed is overflowing.. fortunately there is a nice, empty one a few blocks away at the mother in laws. At 91 years old I think she won’t be doing too much midnight joy riding.

Well I never thought I would see this.... an Order placed on AHL through ALi Express on the 10th December was delivered today.... my 2 x Aluminium rims (1 wrong one but that was my fault). Pretty impressive when you consider I Ordered something on eBay from the Central Coast... it was sent via Sendle Express Postage and it took nearly 3 weeks to arrive.

Now I just need to figure out what tyres to put on it... I dont want full on Knobby tyres but there doesnt seem to be much in between road tyres and Full on Knobbys.
Maybe Pirelli MT21 Rallycross?? Still seems a little aggressive

I put trials tyres on my SL125. Think they were Pirelli brand.

@Andych How about selling the wrong rim on gumtree or some such and get the correct one.

Thats the plan @maelstrom :) I already have the correct 18" rim on its way from AHL so lets see how long that one takes to get here...lol
I am sure esomeone out there needs or would like a nice brushed alloy 19 x 2.5 36 spoke rim.
