hey guys I am in the process of removing the cyclinder head off the ZXR and I am stuck because I have removed the cams etc etc and all the studs from the head as well as the camchain tensionner
But the head will not lift off. The LHS is free and can be lifted a bit but the Cam chain side will not. Is there a hidden bolt that is not visible or listed in the workshop manual ? Th cam chain is free , so I do not know where the problem lies. Any ideas?

Long time since I've done one but...
Camchain tensioner out completely ? Is there a bolt inside the tunnel revealed when the tensioner is out ?
Camchain guide at the front out ? Likewise is there a bolt inside on that side ?

Kawasaki like hiding bolts inside the tunnel. Common on several models. Often 8mm heads.

Thanks bud yep found the short stud in the chain well on the side down where the head joins the barrels.
Got the head off and note that it has several issue like barrel scoring and some piston damage too. . So needs a rebore to maybe 0’5 or 1.0 so piston
hunt is on . I guess an impossible task.
    thanks again

Try Aliexpress (China). They are quite ok for a standard engine.
