    hi again guys

a wire burnt out on my gsx250!!( the small Wire which directly goes to battery)
before a go and cry and do some homework on it I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

first off why did this happen?

secondly are any components buggered I.e stator ,rectifier?

    is the harness buggered?

also any electrical tips would be amazing.

    any help is greatly appreciated

What was the bike doing when this happened?

It could be down to the fact that these old bikes had terrible wiring from the factory and she just needs replacing.

    Does everything else still work?

Yeah I was trying to start the bike, I really have idea why that happened. but I put a new wire in and everything is working as it was before( only just lights and starter as I have no spark)

That's why it burnt out, cranking for too long. Give it max 10-15 second bursts on the starter to prevent from burning out wires.
