LSR rules require a tether. I can’t find a Normally Closed switch on speedy delivery, and the one I have is Normally Open. Not sure what on the CDi I could short to ground, so I’m considering just wiring it into the kickstand wiring- looks like that switch closes when the stands down. Anyone run a switch like this, or have a better suggestion of something that will kill the bike if I run it to ground without burning the bike down?
I wired everything thru a relay, & fed the power to that via a tether, cut the power to the relay, everything dies.

So I validated- an NC switch would do it. This NO switch operates the opposite of the kickstand- kickstand up the switch has continuity, key in the kill does not. Guess I better find a speedy delivery NC switch.
I use a 30A fuse holder (& Fuse) wired into the earth circuit. Drill a hole through the 30A fuse and connect a tether to it. Works well enough for it to pass scrutineering. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/382297979049
How are you attaching it to the bike? I can't find a good place to hook it up, and I spent all tonight trying to make a bracket for it that didn't require using the wiring as the restraint mechanism!
I made a bracket to sit the fuse holder in. I attached the bracket to the top triple. The bracket needs to 'hold' the bottom of the fuse holder and also clamp around the body. When the scrutineering folks check your lanyard is working they will get you to put it on and pull away from the bike. As long as the fuse pulls out of the holder, you'll be sweet. They might ask you to run the bike to check it properly. I used this kind of fuse holder...
Damnit, I was building a bracket like that and it failed in construction- but I was trying to make it work without drilling holes in the bike so I needed it to bend too many ways and it failed. We were on the same page tho!
Just an update- I ended up just buying an NC kill switch. Wired it through the ground side like we talked about. Got out to the event, got the bike running, pulled the switch... and it kept running. Like ass, but it kept running. I ended up having to wire through the red wire at the kill switch instead- interrupting that killed the engine as expected.
