    Hi to all.
Found this listing for a SRX 250. Look's pretty nice for it's age , the only thing that i can see missing is the rear foot peg hanger assy's & peg's.
Price is cheap also i think , and via the speedo reading , there should be a lot more life left in the bike if looked after.

Convert it to a fairing model and you'd have a really nice SRX.

My first bike, around 1967 I think. Loved it. My older brother had a BMW R69s at the time. The idea of riding this little beast scared the hell out of him at the time.
I can remember racing my mates big matchless back from Catalina park raceway. We both got back to Anzac Village south of Sydney at the same time. The only downside was the unreliable jap electrics they came with.

I have owned two GXRs, 750s not 250s. My last one (1992) still in the family. I passed the rego too my son. He is in the process of classic rego.

Looks great. Maybe the under-exhaust fairing bit. There is one on eBay (Canberra I think) for an absolute fortune. Well too much for me.

That would be the one in the post 3 above yours.... in Wagga actually. it is Brand New according to the eBay listing.. Given that they are rare on a worldwide basis, let alone in aus the price isnt too bad.
I am just surprised at the prices these older bikes are catching these days... I mean the SRX is a nice little bike but...

There was a guy on Parramatta road Sydney years ago who would snatch up a rare panel like the one in question so as to reproduce fiberglass alternatives. He actually sort of specialized in panels for GSXRs at the time. My first GSXR750 was the first model produced, I think 1984. All my panels were fiberglass while all the graphics (decals) were replicas of the originals. That model was a super scary bike to ride. It was Monza red to make it even faster haha.

Especially when the Zeal is a better candidate, although it's still an inline 4 and both the FZR250 and Zeal are better left as is
