    Hi All.

I urgently need help. I have a 2013 Carby that is on the frits. She would start to splatter during a drive and die. She will refuse to start and after a few minutes she would start again? I first thought of all the usual suspect. The only items I have not checked is coil and CDI.

What makes this strange is that it only happens from 1/4 feul tank and less?

    regards from sunny S.A

    Welcome to the forum,
Sound's to me like it could a dirty fuel filter, maybe the one/two in the tank on the pick up, or one inline between the fuel tap and carby, possibly even the fuel tap is blocked ?
Is there a vent on the tank anywhere? could be a vapour lock causing the tank to be under a vacuum and not letting fuel out?
Or possibly blocked in the fuel inlet to carby before the needle and seat ?

With it happening with 1/4 tank fuel or less, more fuel has more weight to help push fuel through the system.
Have you checked the fuel level in the carby ?, and checked it again when it die's ?

ifyour tap is vacuum controlled put on a new free flow fuel tap.

    Hi All.

Thank you for the reply. I'm not aware of filters on the pick-up. My model is the one with plastic tank and tank fairing. I did not check fuel level in carbs as I'm always far from home when this happens. It has the factory tap on. I shall rip of the tank ASAP and strip the tap to deep clean all those components.

the importer knew of the fuel vacuum tap problem.all my bikes have steel fuel tanks but the last 12 imported had a fuel tank and an outer cover like 2kr yamaha,s. if you have this model it was the best handling and had the 28 hp motor which was a different cylinder head and cdi to the earlier models.i saw a couple years ago in the warehouse. they also had a redesigned shift drum for the gear selection to be more precise and to pick up nuetral easier. at the time i had a hand built zongshen motor brought in that had the old cylinder head but the new style case and better shifting in the box.i remember being told the new model was far better than previous models and in stock form would beat the track specials they had built around eastern creek.

undo your old fuel tap and plug the vacuum line with a ball bearing to seal it. takethe old tap to a bike shop or bike wrecker and buy a non vacuum tap for any bike that has that thread to screw onto. even a pit bike one. easy as.

    Hi Risky!!

I have Only joined this tapatalk thing to get ahold of you..
I really need assistance with my bike.
    I miss riding it.

    Anyway,
Serviced her a few days back,
    Removed fairings,tank, seats, battery.
Fitted a new custom air filter.
All wires are plugged in and have a home.
Except, for 1 blue/white slightly thicker wire encased by yellow insulation, enclosed by a Grey plug.

That Grey plug has no friend to plug with, it's a female.

This is a result to no Spark...
    Battery is 2 weeks old.

Was 100% just before I serviced it..

It was previously worked on, and I have no clue as where to initiate tracing or which circuit to follow..

    Please Advise.

Willing to send images and videos where required.

    Best regards.

    Hi Risky,

    That's the sucker..
I'll send more images when I get home in a bit, if you need.

    Nope, it swings,
    Has vacuum for the fuel,
    Just... zilch on the spark..

And that lonely single wired grey plug is all that is left...

Have the same issue but I think the return wire has been connected into this. The green and white wire comes from the magneto and it the solo one as above. Should it be connected to a green wire the other side of plastic clip? (see photo) I have a 'spare green ground wire with no where to go? Risky can you post a photo of how the connection should be please?
