Gday. I’m Brian. I’m in sunny Southern California. (Not all of us are fruits or flakes) I picked up an 67 yds3 with an older restoration on it (needs some chrome work) about a year and a half ago and have pretty much just been riding it off and on when I can.

it’s an absolute blast to ride. I do have a couple questions that hopefully I can get some help with.

I’ve had a hard time finding anything to show how much oil to run in the crankcase. I changed the oil back a few months ago and put about a quart and a half in it since there is no sight glass for service. I need to change it again and go back to the yamalube because I thought a newer synthetic would be a good way to go but now getting some clutch slippage and reading what I can about these I’m finding that probably wasn’t the best idea.

Any info you guys have on oil service and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also I’ve tried to upgrade to premium membership to be able to look at some of the available manuals but when I click on the link it doesn’t really give me anyway to upgrade?

    Thanks in advance
    Brian

Greyimport, thank you so much, I certainly appreciate that. I don’t mind donating for the service. The link kept saying I couldn’t upgrade. If there is a way I can donate in anyway please let me know. Reading the forums has been quite enjoyable and the knowledge base you guys have here is great.
    Thank you again,
    Brian
