Yesterday took the bike for a run-fuelled up and off i go,As we live in the country from home to servo (2 min) then from servo to open road (100kph) is also about 2 min,Once i got going doing about 90 kph and settling in i whent over a small bump in the road and the clutch slipped straight away hence the taco went north-backed off and re gripped again.only does this when its first going on open road then its fine.New oil (motul) and clutch is adjusted i think correctly and wont do it when doing normal speed around town.any thoughts as in new clutch...Ken
Hi guys, icant remember if i need to drain the oil before i pull the side cover off(just changed the oil) If i need to i will and put it back in when i finnish-I read some-where that you can put shims under the springs for a bit more tension and rub all if any the burs off the basket and clean up the plates.this is on the gz forum but this is on my gsx.Never done a clutch before so some pics will be involved and will be posted...Ken
In the end did you figure out whether it was springs or the plates themselves? Would love to know how you went.
When the bike shop put motul stuff in my ninja 250 it slipped and also dropped out of gear a lot. I'd recommend a quality mineral oil
