So there is no helping the heating issue? New aftermarket radiator, thermostat or pump etc
Is it going to blow up my engine if im stood still for too long?

Mine doesn't seem to get too hot, but I ride like an old lady.
I'd start by making sure the thermo fan is kicking in. (if not check the fuse)
    if so at what temp?
Does your fan still have all it's blades?
if the radiator covered in crud?
is the radiator core full of crud?

Best way to check is to leave in running and watch the temp gauge creep up, it should get to just over 75% then the thermo fan should kick in

Don't think it would for on standard fairings I have 600 fairings on
Also does it have water or coolant in rad as water has lower boiling point

check you coolant mate, see if it is coolant and not water. as the guys said check that the fan is kicking in and that you have no issues and check that there is no air lock in your coolant system.

also if you need any info on track days ect let me know.

So I finally checked the fan, it does come on towards the h8gh end of the temp gauge.

Seems like it has coolant, think it was green looking? But im going to change it for a better brand any way.

Got quoted 450 for 2 new Bridgestone s20 evo tyres. Does that seem like a good price/choice?

Moo, I'd love some info on track days. I have been searching perthstreetbikes.com and it seems i missed the December one. Also thinking of doing the BART on Jan 9th. I just don't have much confidence in the bike/me yet.

Take it to a professional radiator place and get them to flush it.
They have equipment that the good ole garden hose cannot compete with.

Mind you I have never had a motorcycle radiator flushed (I have not ever had issues with overheating)

So i got a new front tyre today, battlax BT45 (i think) $130 fitted. I have the same tyre on the rear with good tread so i figured id match. Fitted by motorcycle pit stop, nice guy, tightened up my clutch.

First longish ride on the free way today, ears are ringing still ha ha.

So i noticed a tapping from the left foot peg, doesnt seem to do it when the throttle is off only when on. Could this be Chain??

The guy who fitted my tyre and adjusted the clutch had a little look at the chain (didnt tell him about the knock i was telling him about the hard to find N) he said it seems fine and was only the clutch that needed adjusting.
