Monday dawned clear and fine, so paced a few things into the panniers of the trailer and headed north.
The purpose of this journey was to check out the Royal Hotel in Tenterfield by staying the night there, then continue on to Coffs Harbour to collect pieces of my Yamaha YDS5 that I had left with the chromer's in October.
The dominator has no problem pulling the trailer and can only feel it there on slow turns (like roundabouts). I have to keep looking in the mirrors to make sure it is still there. Some steeper hills require 4th gear, so maybe one tooth down on the front sprocket when pulling the trailer might be a good idea.
I travelled through Manilla, Barraba, stopped in Bingara for a coffee, Inverell for fuel and lunch in the park, Ashford, Bonshaw to Tenterfield.

Stopped at Copeton er...puddle for a picture. When full Copeton Dam holds 5 times the amount of water that is in Sydney Harbour, but only has about one harbour in it now due to drought bringing no rain and having to let out the water to irrigate the cotton crop (that is what it was built for).

After 440Km I made the Royal and a cold beer.

Left at 6.30am this morning and on the road to Casino through the 42Km of twisties. Was slow going due to thick fog and by the time I got to Tabulm had close encounters with 4 roo's, a rabbit and a possum. I was intending to take the shortcut to Grafton through Alice and Copmanhurst but the road was closed with a bridge washed away, so had to go on to Casino, Grafton, Glenreagh to Coffs Harbour. Bloody chromers hadn't finished my all bits so could only get half of them strapped to the trailer. They will send the rest at their expense.
Back on the Pacific Highway with the Domi humming on 120, didn't feel the trailer behind, and turned off to lunch and fuel at Bellingen. Stopped at chemist in Dorrigo for some antacid tablets as lunch wasn't settling that well, and on to Ebor for a cuppa at the Fusspots café. Through Armidale, Uralla and arrived in Tamworth as it started to rain. 1,040Km in two days and my bum has cried enough. Hope the rain stays around so I don't have to ride my quad bike tomorrow spraying weeds.

No luck with the rain. 5am and clear and still. 3 hours later and I've had enough for today.

that is a great little trailer!
I assume you built it yourself, did you get the plans from somewhere or just make it up?

Just looked at others and pinched the best ideas. I used the rear wheel and swing arm from a 70's Yamaha AG100, the side bags are from my Honda ST1100 that burnt (they were not on it that day) and the rest I made from square tube, alloy checkerplate sheet and lights from ebay China. The hitch is a tractor universal joint, needed so it doesn't fall over.

This was the final version of the trailer with the bags from the ST1100, and old Krauser bag on the right and 5Lt petrol can on the left, tent and mattress strapped on top.
