hey guys as some of you know i did end up buying a vfr400r instead of overhauling a 750.

the bikes in ok condition but runs like crap, had bent radiators from a low speed collision and a warped front brake rotor. chain had so much play in i though it was going to fall off (previous owner was not very handy with a spanner). and the carby rubbers were not secured correctly, and a blanking screw was missing lol. stalls when warm, has a cooked battery and the list goes on. checked its valve clarances and only had a 2 exhaust valves .01mm just out of tolerance. will check again in 5000km engines top end looked very clean. has 37000km

thinking of fitting a tyga kit, then wrap up the stock fairings and preserve them in my shed.

first thing i did was order new radiators and blue silicone hoses, carby rebuild kits, Venhill braided brake lines, cnc levers and many other little blingy bits.

anyone who has had experience with these 400 v 4's please leave advice in the comments :)

Nice score. The guys on 400greybike forum know a lot about these. Good looking carb kit too :)
That was the bike I wanted to buy but fate had other plans for me.

and chris i noticed this bike has no oil cooler? was this normal for grey imports? or was it only the UK spec bikes fitted with a oil cooler?

Could not have come from anywhere else. Were they the only green parts?
