yep and i think i bought the finishing touch to my new ride this morning

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10mm-Chrome-Swingarm-Sliders-Spools-for-Kawasaki-ZX-6R-9R-10R-12R-14R-ZZR600-56-/130652280155?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e6b7b955b

for the rear swing arm. all kwaka road bikes have 10mm spool on swing arm so will fit nicely.

only thing i need to buy in the future is this

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/180579963745?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

and i think my ride is pretty much complete
going to see the kwaka dealer very soon at lunch and have a chat and see how far away my ride is from arriving here and see if they have ordered my power commander 5 and switch for it too....

man i cant wait for this. just as exciting as it was 13 years ago when i ordered my 2000 model vfr800 around this time of the year. had a wait of about 6 weeks or so cos it hadnt even left the factory in japan and had a boat ride to melbourne then a truck ride to brissy where it swapped trucks and more truck rides to townsville from the same dealer...lol

anyhow, i have my fingers crossed it gets here before xmas.

just called local kwaka dealer cos havent had my calls returned for a few days. thats always a bad sign in my books

managed to get a hold of one of the sales guys to find out whats happening with my bike.

the story has now changed.earlier this week it was ordered and being sent.
now its ordered and is on back order cos kwaka camt keep up demand for them as they are selling like hot cakes so it wont be here till sometime in janurary.
sales gus is going to email kwaka australia and cc me in on the email and ask again whats happening so kwaka australia can keep me posted as well.
    cool.
honda australia did the same thing 13 years ago when i ordered my vfr800.they were awesome.they told me when it was getting on the boat in japan, when the boat arrived in melbourne and unloaded. when it was on the truck to leave melbourne to qld, and when it changed trucks in brissy and when it arrived in townsville to honda dealer.
fingers crossed kwaka is just as good.
so im a little dissapointed cos i was fibbed to, but fingers crossed i can get the bike *AND* the venutra rack together at the same time to save my back the aches and pains of carrying a bag on it.

    *sigh*

bugger.i really wanted to have it in my shed on xmas day and show my kids what Santa bought for me. that would have been so cool.but one of the guys i work with said , hey if you do that you have really raised the expetations of xmas, how are you going to top that next year??

    *sigh*
i must admit, i think he was right...lol

i will keep you all posted :BangHead:

    Hey ozbiker

Sorry to hear the news about your bike. To be honest I'm not surprised at all, it's the SILLY SEASON after all and people make pledges they simply can't keep.
Think your work mate is on the money, setting the bar very high!
Perhaps it's better to think that 2013 is a very good year if for no other reason than you are getting your Ninja, should it arrive earlier, well that's just a bonus.
Hope it pans out for you.

the video of the TBR system is cool. i have seen it before. it is a full system though, mine is just a slipon.mind you if i could afford it would get the full system.but with what i have ordered im sure it will be plenty enough for the street.

and so much for the email i was supposed to be cc'd in on to kwaka.... it never happened either.

anyhow in the mean time i have been checking out accessories galore for it. man, the ninja is like a holden/ford theres just so much stuff you can buy for it its unreal.

Unlucky! not an unfamiliar story tho, my friend that's waiting for his is trying to get info on when they're to be delivered in NSW and they pricks won't call back or return emails without constant pressuring. Even then they aren't saying. But it seems mid Jan sounds right!

Would think kawasaki would have sent a ton more bikes given its the best selling bike of all here for how many years? bah! lol. Worth the wait hopefully  :D

That two brothers sounds positively horn though -drool- haha

i sawa youtube video a few weeks ago, i should have saved it, it was a 3 part story on the kwaka ninja zx-14r and showed the production line and they make about 1500 units a day.it was a very cool how they made the bikes.
i have no doubt the ninja 300 will be made the same way and i suspect the same amount made per day.its a huge market they have to supply.
im disapointed i have to wait so long for my new ride but it will be worth it ;D

    *sigh*

the soo-zoo-key dramas continue to worsen

this morning after my ritual push start the bike down my driveway and get my excercise, not once, but twice before i could get it to start, i was about 200 meters from work at a set of stop lights and it just died while sitting there.

    oh joy

anyhow, this afternoon when i left work i push started it down the hill and go going, came home and came up the driveway, pulled the clutch and bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuppppp.....

    dead again

    *sigh*

anyhow, misses ozbiker said i can borrow her 650 till my ninja 300 gets here, one of these she has

we are both a bit sad cos we wanted to get it here for xmas and when kids are asleep be able to push it thru the front door and shove it infront of the tree and put all the rest of the xmas pressies round it...lol

i dropped in this morning to our local kwaka dealer, eurocycles just to see how my bike is going

    www.eurocycles.com.au

salesman said with a bit of luck it might be here this week, but not promising as a few bikes he ordered before mine turned up a week early.fingers crossed

i had a good look behind the fairing and there looks like enough room behind the left side fairing behind the radiator to mount my air horn. i made a bracket for it this morning out of some 3 millimeter aluminum plate about 10mm wide and about 15 centimeters long and bolted it to the airhorn. just need to get the bike home now when it gets here and remove the left fairing and mount it.i kept the wiring harness i made for it from the across i made the wires fairly long so it should also kit the 300.

i also went nuts and ordered a new front sproket as well, a 15 tooth one. the stock is 14 tooth.theres a few in the usa who have done this and say it makes a big difference to the bike, still has plenty of power but the gears become much more useable and the speedo is spot on as well and with the powercommander 5 fitted, it has plenty of power all thru the rev range.nice to know as i have ordered one of those with the bike as well.

also bought a pair of swing arms spools from ebay, hong kong. delivered to my door $5 cos they didnt have the colour i wanted

they have ordered the parts i wanted for my bike, but nothing has turned up yet.anyhow, its getting closer and i cant wait.spoke to misses_ozbiker and if i can get the bike on a friday i will go on a decent weekend trip just to break the bike in. i live in townsville, going to head towards carins, go up the palmerston highway, cross the atherton tablelands and down mt malloy, back to cairns, turn right at smithfield and ride up kuranda range, across tablelands, head down thru youngaburra down the gilles highway and back to cairns and stay the night with friends cos i have not seen them for ages.then in morning, ride up gilles highway, across tablelands and down the palmerston highway and back to townsville, will be about 1000 kilometers or so. nice trip. did it 13 years ago when i broke the vfr800 in and it worked well with the vfr and i bet the 300 will take it in its stride as well. i try my best to do this run when i get the chance, great ride and misses_ozbiker wants to come as well.lol

i have delivered the swingarm spools to my kwaka dealer to fit when the bike arrives

    eurocycles.com.au

have also gave them the airhorn and bracket to mount it and the wiring harness to fit it.

    see im smart.

misses_ozbiker said im not allowed to add anything to the bike when i bring it home for a year, so thats cool, i will give everything i want added to the bike to the dealer to fit instead :occasion14:

yep theres some good highways up there up / down from the atherton table lands round cairns region

the closest we have to townsville is crystal creek, about half way between townsville and ingham on the left near "frosty mango" ice cream. it did it sometime ago on my k1200ltse and recorded it on video tape and then it got wiped, oh well, but its about 15 kilometers long and has over 200 turns on it. great ride

went and visited dealer yesterday to see if bike might be ariving next week.salesman said he wanst sure but maybe the week after.

    *sigh*
just wanted a concrete answer. really like the bike here before australia day as im planin got head to carins on it.
anyhow, visit kwaka aust web site

    http://www.kawasaki.com.au/company/support

    scroll to bottom

and fill in as much as i can. had a ring about 5 minutes later from a kwaka australia rep who appologized for the delay for my bike & said kwaka is having a hard time keeping up supply of the bikes all over the world as they are selling like hot cakes.

he did say that my bike will be arriving via boat on the 19th of this month and will be here ready for me to pick up before the 25th of this month.
    yippie!

Bummer its taken so long, I think from deposit to delivery it was about 3 weeks (the christmas break was in there too so probably more like 2) for us. Maybe they distribute more bikes to places that have higher sales or something? None the less expecting pics when you get it  ;D
