Hi all. This is my first post after joining the forum.I joined because of my passion for bikes and riding the roads of our great country.

As a teenager I had a Vespa 160 in the UK. Most of my friends had motorbikes but as a 1960 mod I stayed true to the scooter community - I think the mod girls were much better looking than the biker girls (motive revealed).

After arriving in OZ I purchased an old CB250. That thing was a bomb and I eventually gave it away. Six months ago my wife allowed me to buy a ZZR250. I absolutely love my bike. It looks good, rides really well, is very economical and it fits my size and purpose perfectly. Sometimes I look at my bike and whisper in her mirrors, "I love you!" I'm not having an affair, and my wife is not feeling sidelined or neglected. I share my love with both - my wife and my bike.

As a 62 year old I still have a passion for riding. Unfortunately I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which means my concentration and energy levels are limited. However I would like to know if any 250cc rides are planned to leave Brisbane in 2013? I can't ride for more than 1/2 an hour at any one go but would enjoy riding our Qld roads with other bike enthusiasts.

I am considering uploading pics of my 'love': my bike and not my wife. I'll try and figure out how to do it.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

tehehe... glad the wife is understanding about the bike... I had to get my girlfriend on her own motorcycle before she understood the passion :p

Welcome to the forum, I can't help you out with ride-days (melbourne based) but always happy to chat about the various threads we have going!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Glad to see that you are not letting the CFS get you down and you are getting on your love (That is the bikeĀ  ;) )
I am from down the coast so I can't help you with a ride but there are a few members close to you and I am sure they will be happy to ride with you.
Some pictures of your bike would be great.

I'm not having much success uploading a couple of pics. Would someone be able to assist with easy to follow directions?
    Many thanks.
