hahaha very nice. Bike wins again.
There was a similar write up in an aussie mag recently which pitted a GSXR1000 K5 ($19000) against a Porsche 911 Turbo S ($348,000) - guess who won out?
Yup, bike home by a full second!
Loved those power wheelies by the duc, by the way.

Just so you know, Tiff wasn't happy after having a bike beat the car around the Fifth Gear track... so set about finding once again a faster car; and he did. ;)

PS. There's something intoxicating about hearing that 999R in the upper rev ranges. It's a twin! It shouldnt sound so damn sexy in a screaming way.

That was gold. I know this is a Yamaha site but the v-twin makes me drool. Thats what you get for 12,000 Pounds or $30000.

that same site has a vid of a Mk1 Yammy R1 against a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and the car wins ... browse the vids section and you'll find it.

anyone wanna see a Toyota Corolla beating a 700bhp R32 Skyline GTR in a drag race at an event in ireland earlier this year? i know its a bike site but this is a must see!! and yamaha did build a few engines for some sporty Toyota models in the 80's and 90's!!

Really?! So that 'Atlantic' engine i always hear the Toyota old-skool fan-boi's talking about is actually a Yamaha engineered engine? (Or Yamaha built!?)

No. It's a heavily tuned 4A-GE built under formula Atlantic rules. I believe the TRD originally built them, but some shops over in the US build them as well.

No cars. Just bikes. If I had the money to buy the car of my choice I would buy several bikes instead. (I honestly don't have a preference for cars - as long as it runs reliably, and gets me where I want to go then I am fine. Except Fords. Don't like fords. Classic Mustangs are the exception to this).

If I were..... WERE to choose a car (like if no bikes existed or became as expensive as ferrari's/porsche's/etc) I would have to go with a S15 200sx GT daaamn those are sexy *droooooooooool*

But so far, the 2006 R1 is on the top of my list! (the black with gold ) Or maybe even the limited/special edition 2006 R1..... somehow I don't think I can save enough money by this time next year
I'll damn well try though!

P.S. BOTH ford AND holden suck...............
