    Ta mate.

Yeah, I'm not actually too fussed about it, and people were asking how I was going and if the nerves had settled down etc.... it didn't really rattle me at all, I knew the mistake I made and I learnt from it, I didn't become afraid of it.

Bike is completely fine aside from scratches I believe, havn't taken the fairings off yet but all seems fine so far.

Highly recommend getting out on the track, so much fun and learn a lot.
I was quite surprised by my abilities, and got a good idea of my limits.

Also props to the Pirelli Sport Demon tyres, absolutely awesome, once they came up to temp they felt awesome, total confidence in them.

This is after the first round, they were looking better by the end of the day, probably could have done with a couple of PSI lower (was at 35 cold) but they still felt really good.
They were really sticky when ya touched them too.
That last 2mm or so right on the edge, cannot be reached, pegs ground out.

The front tyre was just starting to ball up after the first round, by the last round, they looked the same as the rear, just needed to be pushed a bit harder (again, lower pressure would probably help).

Haha, yeah, getting a bit more confident in leaning the bike over and pushing it a bit harder, although can't really lean an Across over that far.

Yeah, the Across has flip up pegs but didn't really help, it was the gear shifter that grounds out first anyway.
Also grinded part of the toe sliders, even though I had the ball of my feet on the pegs, will get a new pair eventually aswell.

That FZR would be awesome, pretty much exactly what I'd like.
If I could get something like that for around the $800-$1000 mark I'd be happy, it would only be used on the track.

Helmet is a bit scratched up, didn't take an impact, but getting replaced soon anyway, going to melbourne for Tenacious D and gonna get a new helmet while I'm there, either an Arai RX-Q or an OGK/Kabuto FF5V, most likely the Arai, meant to buy it last time I was over there (begining of march) but ended up spending the money on the city, haha (went over with a mate to go to Offspring, going over by myself this time).

Also got new gloves on the way, Ricondi's, a winter pair and a high end racing pair.

    Sweet pics man

That shock is pretty much bottomed out in that pic which would explain the grinding of pegs to some degree, gotta get an upgraded shock in there! :)

Yeah, harder suspension would definately have helped with it grinding out so suddenly/hard.
After seeing whats required to do it though, I can't be bothered, lol, not for a bike like this anyway.

I do now have another issue with it though...
When it's cold-ish, it's really boggy and does not want to go past 6k rpm.
I have reset the idle mixture screws and idle, carbs are balanced.

Once it gets nice and toasty it runs perfectly fine, idle is a little over the place but not too bad.
