Just saw a news story about a few riders posting videos on you tube "dead man riding" along public roads.

We are already on the wrong side of the law in the eyes of most people.
Does anyone feel any safer now!
Because when I go out tomorrow I am expecting a lot of hostility from cagers and ! more so than normal only because of a few bad eggs.

Are you talking about this tool http://www.youtube.com/user/FZr2500

Lets remember that these bikes are "sportbikes" everyone at some stage wants to ride hard and I beleive there needs to be more public access "tracks" which would relax people on public roads.

I dont agree with what he is doing but at least he obviously waits until there is no traffic, he rides sensibly when there are other cars infront of him (IE the bike sounds like 6-8k rpm and a decent distance kept from traffic) and he doesn't overtake.

I beleive its your choice to endanger your own life on crappy public roads but if you do it in city area's or in traffic you risk others lives

Thats a bad egg! this dude is just a tool...

No these guys were riding late model naked bikes in Neutral Bay, NSW

And they were crossing double unbroken lines overtaking cars, swearing at cars and a few other things I cant remember the you tube name but it's now in the hands of the police.

I'm sure we all have done things at sometime or another but this just happens to show up on every prime time news channel in NSW.

gives us all a bad name

must get boring living in the city... really only the only way to have fun on the freeway... dont think it deserves that sorta media attention though. People do this sorta things in cars too.. an the majority of us i think have done things similar to that... mabye not as publicly or as prolifically though. As always its a matter of a time and a place, neutral bay prob not an example of a good one, and Eyes open !

As far as giving bikes a bad name... people will think what they like. They know that there crap and they dont check there blind spot, or dont care whats behind that car blocking there view. If ever you encounter hostility just remind people if they drive like we rode, and implemented the same road craft (sorry scooters ur not included) as us... we'd all be paying much cheaper insurance premiums.
