So if anybody is interested in a 91 3LN with rego till feb next year, Just been serviced, new tyres and new brakes let me know as it is going asap.

I am in Sydney (west)

She goes well, just a little cramped for me!!! Also i have been bittin by the bike bug that much that i want a brand new bike.....hey ..what can i say... I love my toys

I bought a brand new 08 model Hyosung Gt650r...and before anyone (who has not ridden one) wants to comment, i have read all the sceptic comments around and i have read all the pro comments.... and let me just say, even though i have only had it since friday....oh my bleeping GOD!!!!!!! V-TWIN!!!!! deep throaty rumble, torque beyod belief(mind you it is still governed while on my L's and i am also being gentle whilst running it in) looks bloody SICK the new two tone red and black!!!! suspension is great it is such a bloody smooth ride, quiet when you are crusing, but give the throttle a twist and she roars to life, i have used a full tank and i got 384 kms out of 15.5 litres of fuel...... lets just say i am so bloody happy with my purchase... i recommend the bike to anybody!!! No it probably won't nail an R6 or a GSXR off the line, but when i get the govenor out once i get my full licence who knows....maybe it will..maybe it wont...more than likely it wont...but hey it goes hard, sounds great and starts first go everytime....and people are looking at me at saying "dude thats a sick bike" so i am rapped!!!!!

congratulations! people do bad mouth hyosung but I think its just a loud minority who, in all probablility have treaded the bike poorly.
I think they look great too but more importantly you are much more comfortable on this size bike. Why ride something that you can't enjoy because of others bike origin racism..

Keep us posted on how your bike matures.. too many hyosung riders go quiet and all we end up hearing is the same crowed who had bad experiences convincing everyone they are poor quality..

Yeah, you might not beable to chase down an R6 but with the money left in your wallet at least you can afford lunch when you pull over!

Will definately keep you posted as to how she matures!!!

And yes Drewzor your spot on the money, I am so much more comfortable on this size bike, much better than the fizzer.. i felt like i was riding a dinky ...but above all the pros i have found so far....the best is that it is a brand new bike... arrived in country last tuesday, had 2km on the clock when i picked it up....and nobody else has owned it....tis mine ALL MINE

Pesqueezo - Congtrats on the new bike. Here are a few posts on the SV forum regarding the Hyosung. It will make some interesting reading for you. There is a large hyosung forum (I think it's in australia) as well but not sure of the URL

I think the new 650's are fuel injected now which will improve the reliability no end.. Better post up a few pics soon.

OK so you bought a nobbled bike (well, its restricted). I am curious, does it pull like a train down low and fizzle out at hi revs, or does it have a rev limiter kick in at an artifical low rpm..?

I know mine (SV) pulls like a train from 3,000 to 10,500, and actually goes a bit harder than a R6 to about 9,000rpm.

What tyres does it come with?

There is a decent forum for the HYO http://www.korider.com/forum/index.php but it's membership is more global than FZR250.com

i like the whole hyosung range.
i tryed out the gt250r befor getting my fzr and it was nice because of the size but seemed a little heavy handling to me. pulled away really nice and smooth (far better than the new ninja250, dont get me started on that!).
the breaks were good but i think the one i rode didnt have the standard ones.
the hyosung enduro (tw copy) is great little bike but a bit too underpowered and the gearing is annoying for going round town.
and their big cruiser thing is great fun!

Well she has some tow on take off that is for sure, really pulls...but having said that I haven't opened it up more than about a quarter throttle as it is still in the Run-In period...so once i have finished the run in i will update a bit more on that...but the way it works is that up to about 8000 Rpm it has the torque and pull of the 650 but then it starts to limit the top end out put.. you can still get it up to a bloody quick speed, it just limits the quickness of getting there...once they take the govenor out then it opens it right up!!!! As far as all the handling goes...i think it handles great!! Big defference to the Fizzer 250 i had which could just be thrown into a corner at any angle or speed, the bigger bike i have to line it up smoother and adjust my speed more accurately but the more i get used it the more stabel and secure it feels.. brakes were a bit spongey when i picked it up, but the more they bed themselves in the better they are working (which i can only assume is noraml with new bikes) ....the tyres that come stock are Bridgestone Battleaxes so its not all bad there either.... overall i think it is a bloody top bike!!! it goes in for its 1000k service this week. I know the earlier Hyo's were a bit dodgy but they have been getting better from all the reading i have done on the net, and with my 08 model i think it really shows..
