I submitted my return on the 11th and my refund is scheduled to clear on Monday. So I'll finally have the money and the time to begin the 3LN6 project proper.

Yeah don't worry about that, the yellow peril won't stay yellow for long. I think I'll redo the 3LN3/7 in that yellow and blue scheme, it is rather nice.

I'm already enquiring about having a fairing kit made as close to the 3LN6 colours as possible and will repair the original tank and/or repaint it as necessary :thumb_ups:

Why don't you just buy one from China, heaps of options like $400 I think.

Yes that's the plan, but I want proper ABS Injected and not compression mold. The fairing thickness needs to be similar than the originals. The "virgins" on the 3LN3/7 are cheap junk in compared to the other set of "virgins" which are much better quality, and the colour matches the fuel tank properly.

Camera mounts, what to do with tax refund.
What next, light weight fuel tanks? Titanium exhausts perhaps?

If you're doing a parts order hit me up. I think I'll be looking for a new valve cover gasket.

Its only like that because I left work. Had I stayed for the rest of the financial year it wouldn't be that high. My return last year was about $400.. its about 5x that this year :thumb_ups:
