Washing, scraping, degreasing, sandblasting nearly 50 year old crud of F2 bits. Got all the smaller bits primed ready for paint. Will take frame and swingarm to blasters on Monday (they wont fit in my home made blast cabinet).

Pulled the engine out of the little rocket with the intention of changing the cam chain but it turned out to be well under the service limit. Called it quits tonight but I will check valve clearances tomorrow and will throw in some fresh plugs and will give the engine a good clean.

Today I set about replacing the zx7s thermostat housing oring that was leaking and the little coolant filter bottle but decided to wait and do some derusting on the housing. (Good old vinegar soak). Then I wanted to put my new coils I purchased on but I left them at work and it's closed FML!

Spent yesterday down the track with both the zxr and the gixxer.
Unfortunately the zxr died halfway through the second session of the morning.
I believe it is electrical, probably the regulator.
    Still had fun besides that.

noticed this today. The cam chain is within service limits (according to my measurements) so it would be the standard cam chain issue. Is the spring the issue or does it just not extend enough? 20150726_204526.jpg
