On all previous bikes I've run the rear sprocket offset to the outside, is that still the case with the Across? I'm positive the manual doesn't mention it, in fact none of the other manuals I have mention the correct side, it has always just been rule of thumb. I've recently installed a JT 14/46 520 setup and noticed a minute alignment issue. There could be several contributing factors, but it's always best to eliminate the simplest discrepancy before investigating anything further.

I considered it further and realised the offset should run to the outside. If it didn't then the rear sprockets alignment would vary depending on the thickness of the sprocket centres from different manufacturers. Thanks anyway you guys.

Good on you, Kiffsta. I suppose it's time to bring out the brickies line then, hopefully the frame's still straight...

I'm not sure, but there isn't any offset on it. I installed it with the stamping outfacing, but dimensionally it is even. I've had fronts before that had a decent shoulder on there. What have you seen for the Across?
