this might be of intrest to some who don't know about zedder ,most bike companys use the same parts for a lot of different models to cut costs ,there a company called zedder enterprises (yank)who put out a soft ware for the big 4 jap bike companys ,1 disc each bike company showing almost every thing that company made bikes /snowmobiles /generators etc late 60s-2003(?) and what parts were interchangeable ,eg my xs650 exhaust gasket was used on about 17 different models of yam..hard to navigate without a parts cat for part nums though but well worth it for older bikes with hard to find parts ..easiest way just goggle zedder enterprises ,there is a test sample on their page to give you an idea ,costs about $37au each disc but found well worth the money ..and no I'm not associated with them in any way

Yea and as the Yanks dont know wat a 250 road bike is, theres none of our main ones listed ... FZR,ZXR,CBR

Good idea though .... I always say to check part numbers and not specific bike model as it may be used on jet skis , ATVs etc , apart from other bike models from the same maker.

If you look up the part's you need on any decent Yamaha site and find what you need.
Then click on the part/number in the description area it will bring up all the other bike's it's used on too
In your case for the XS650 exhaust flange gasket it bring's up over 110 different model Yamaha motorcycle's which use the same gasket
Or for the joiner gasket/seal that connect's the 2x muffler's then there's 82 different model's listed that use it

Sometime's if the part is superseded to another number then it will list that too

ronayers has a parts lookup, feed it a part #, it spits back models. Again, unfortunately only US models.

Mick Hone website does this for Suzuki for Australian models. Leaves you $37 richer for parts.

yep.. know there is alteratives just found zedder useful to have on computer so no mucking around and no alternative motives where you just look up the part without them trying to redirect you or try to sell you something etc etc ,always found nothing is for free especially with the internet ,as said got no connection with them just found its helpful info
