So I got this bike thinking I would make a Dirt buggy, and a mate had it sitting around.
When I got home Wifey said, thats small enough for me !

So now I'm gonna put it on the road.
    So far
Ive sourced the plastic tyre hugger for the rear, the plastic surrounds for the back seat, the seats I have already, and I got it running and the brakes work.

What I'm having issues with is the bits that are missing from the rear underseat area to keep the battery and electrics dry, and possibly a small storage area hence the key unlock for the seat ?

Below are images of the condition I got it in, under the seat.
The seat was mostly held on with cable ties.
The rear guard was rubbish bin liners, cardboard and cable ties strapped to the frame.
If anyone has any pictures of images of what is supposed to fit under the seat and how that would be appreciated.

Part number 15 is a clamp, probably a cable tie like a zip tie, it might be to hold the rear wiring to the frame ?
Number 16 is a band battery/tool kit, strap

That rear subframe looks to have been chopped and had a loop welded in at the end, cafe style.

Have a look at the frame section in the parts diagrams if available.

Mine was a GSF250VY aussie model so it may be different to yours.

yep, I've thought that as well.
May need to do some cut and shut to bluff through rego.
it would also fit the plastics have a mount point about there.
I'm also missing those grab handles, but I had a look and base is still there

This weekend I'll be doing a lot of cardboard mock ups I think

replace the coils today - the other ran, but he leads were held on with pressure and hope, and would fall off with the wrong twist.
Also ordered the rear bracket middle top of figure 50 - this should let me know wher I need to put the new mount brackets on the frame

Not sure if people are interested but here is the latest progress. I pulled the front electrics apart and added a new key tumbler, re wired the lights and removed a headlight off switch.
Then I started on the rear, cut the cafe racer loop out, which let the frame go back to its real shape, nd added in some new customers frame bits, fitted the plastics to make sure everything was right, then took it all of to weld the new bits in the frame.
    Here's the pics

Good job turning the little Bandit back into what it is supposed to be. Another one saved.
