Where are you getting the chrome strip from - Luckly for me WEMOTO supplies complete reproduction seats for the GT250.. Not bad quality, steel base, correct pattern for my "B" - but no chrome strip!

Cheers lads , I am super proud of this one.

I won’t do another to this level , I just checked the spreadsheet and the number is slightly uncomfortable .

I do have my eye on another bike have put the $100 cruiser up for sale to help fund it .

Well done Chris. You'll have to bring it down to Victoria for the 2021 VJMC National Rally.

A bit more of an update on the 380 , I have having issues whereby it would top out at 6000rpm, turns out the carb kit I bought from japan had 87.5 main jets and 25 pilots in there , oem is 80 mains and 22.5 pilot. I also read many people having trouble with the “kit”needles , so I broke down an old set of carbs and found 3 decent oem needles which are now fitted along with the correct main jets and pilots. A guy in the Suzuki Gt380 Facebook page also suggested setting the needles on the 2nd notch which I have done.

the difference is night and day , pulls nicely though the rev range, while it is a new motor, I don’t want to go anywhere near the 8000 redline , but it easily hits 7000 now, the grin has gotten even wider now she is running properly .

I have one last thing to fix and that is the side stand , mine is not correct for the bike and fowls on the chamber , I am in the hunt for a correct one.
Tough choice when I go to the garage , t500, Gt380 and the zxr250 , all of which make me happy.

I have been on the hunt for a 75-76 goldwing , but am thinking an xsr900 or speed triple might be next on the cards.

The needle jet for my gt250 was SUZUKI specific - still in stock @ approx. $25 each

    For your 380.....
Check the number stamped on the shaft of the needle jet.
Looking at the Partzilla they have the US bikes fitted with 4DH7-2 Part # 13383-33010
Robinsons in the UK has the listed as 4DH7-3 Part # 13383-33010

Confusing as they are the same part number but the different needle numbers??????

Mick Hone has them listed @ $12 each..........NICE!!!!!
