Stick hand over carb throat whilst kicking. Should pull lots of fuel.

In the case of the Honda, I knew of a twin lead coil listed at a local auto parts mob - owned by Repco - that was very low ohms primary. I'd used it before.
I think your setup uses all 3 coils in series so you're looking for a very low ohm primary single lead coil - X3.

Most of the high performance auto coils now are around 2.4ohm primary AFAIK. Unfortunately the catalogues don;t specify.
How well do you know a local auto parts guy ? Can you go in with a multimeter ?

Any literature with the Boyer ? What do they specify ?

I had a look at the spec's for Boyer ignition on the GT380 and they say to use the standard 4 Ohm primary ignition coil's, same coil's you use for the point's ignition
    https://www.britishbikebits.com/boyer-mkiv-ignition-kit-yamaha-gt380-gt550-gt750-triples

Found these coil's on ebay, they're cheap enough to be able to test and see if it's your issue ?
Then you could sell them on if it isn't

Or Or you could have gone down this path. This one is a 550. Love the Ducati ducktail.

I see what 67xr has posted and yes, the system does apparently work with stock coils.
I would however point out that the stockers in OE configuration spark once per revolution.
In series as it appears they are, 3 times per revolution - a modest 7000 rpm is 21,000 sparks per minute
Which is pushing the boundaries of conventional coils. Let alone old ones.

I'm surprised the boyer ignition doesn't run 3 separate coils, each triggered in turn by the respective trigger coil

Now this might be out of left field, what about three low resistance coil's on plug in series, some are as low as 1.1 OHM from memory and you may just have a set to hand

Do you have an earth running from the battery to the frame, and one from the battery to the engine ?
Sometime's after powdercoating frame's etc the engine wont earth properly, some engine's are rubber mounted as well so no decent earth.
I've heard of a few engine's than run for a while then lose spark as they're basically just using the clutch cable as an earth.

I've also read that wasted spark is hard on spark plug's as you're firing them twice as much like the coil's @gregt mentioned many wasted spark ignition's recommend Double Platinum or Irridium spark plug's, they use less power and give a hotter spark so are less prone to buildup on the ceramic insulator's
It may pay to check your spark plug's if they're the original style copper core's

You are firing them more often, but I believe the plugs firing in an empty combustion chamber don't require as much "power" to form a spark. I thought 2-strokes needed a lot more "power" to form a spark as the charge has oil in it. Do 2-stroke spark plugs generally run a smaller gap? Ignore me as I'm just thinking out load.

If that is true, then the engine will never run. There needs to be timed spark to fire at the top of compression to each cylinder with a 120 degree crank, not at 120 before TDC (piston coming up to compression) or 240 after TDC (power stroke piston going down).
When you put the points back in did you time them up individually to each correct cylinder?

380 Timing is set from the centre pot at tdc, the weird thing about 380’s is that the timing plate runs off a counter shaft that is fed from the crank. Tomorrow the clutch cover is coming back off and I will do it again and see if I get any better results.

I Found some coils but they have a 1.2 ohm primary , so scratch them . I have asked a couple of local bike shops what they would use and I was met with a blank stares . Seems everyone uses the Chinese coils

I fitted these to the GT250 - bolted straight up to the OEM bracket. Not sure the resistance on the primary but can measure tomorrow if you are interested

omg , my chambers are in country

    excited

I did some work on the bike last week and reset the timing as per the manual, what I have noticed is that my points plate and points cam are mismatched as there were 2 different manufacturers , kokusan and denso. What I have learnt is that they dont mix. I will try and sort that out tomorrow in anticipation of the pipes arriving.

I did loose a part that screws into the carb and holds the choke plunger and cable , I have checked the Suzuki parts diagram and it is not listed as a part you can buy , lucky I found someone with a spare one who is donating it to the cause.

the end is near , I can almost smell it ( Castro’s tts)

Same sort of issue with early SOHC Honda points apparently. Aftermarket items are a bit off on the back plate markings which creates havoc trying to troubleshoot.
Still doesnt explain the issue with the Boyer ignition though... still thinking Coils??
That bike is going to be very nice when it is finally all together... maybe in time for the VJMC Virtual Show and shine??

Looking very tasty Kiffsta. This has given impetus to my cleanup of the KV100. Your work floor is cleaner and tidier than mine.

Poor little Titan will be cast asunder, like some flotsam and jetsam, destined to drift aimlessly amongst the cadavers at MotoRecycle.

Gee, I hope not. I'll offer to buy it back from him, for what he paid me for it.
