2 cig sockets in the glove box, and a usb. One runs my phone charger and the other to run a gps. On a switch atm, thinking about putting a relay in so it comes on with the key. 20130818_174312.jpg 20130818_174318.jpg

Good work Brendan, I knew a guy in the 90's who had done this to his across, he used to charge his Nokia 5110 from a socket in the storage compartment. :thumb_ups:

More a test run, wanting to find a way to have it mounted but still be able to fit my helmet and gloves in the glove box, i think i might need to mount it a bit differently. eventually Ill make a bracket up and felt it all.

Do yourself a favour, remove the liner and have a look, you might be surprised at some of the room available:)

I have had it out the only issue is it has to be easy to access, And cords won't get caught etc when the helmet goes in. Think i may use a smaller socket.

Yerp, looks to me like I have to take the front wheel either rightout, or atleast remove the axle a few mm out the way. Also an easy way to hold the bike upright with the front wheel out?

If its just the cable and not the speedo drive then it should just unscrew at both ends ... I dont have an Across but thats the standard setup

No, there should be a Phillips head screw holding the cable to the speedo drive, undo the screw and the cable will pull out

That there was, it's all in and working ;), Is it normal for the fuel pumps on these bikes to be abit on the noisy side? Or an easy way to quieten the pump down a bit.

Any recommendations on coolants to use and oils etc? Going to do a bit of a service on it tomorrow evening, get it all up to date before the dam run this weekend. :) Any other things I should get onto while I am at it?
