    hi all
just wondering how many have replaced their slide holders in the gsx250f across, have a slight hesitation at 4500 rpm 1/4-1/2 throttle and have found a little movement within the holders in the slides, and just wondering how to remove from the slides??
cheers and sorry if repeating on a old thread

Hey Brad. I've done it. But when one fell it wasn't a slight hesitation it was very obvious lack of power 25% - which I suppose makes sense :)

Just pull hard on the white slide holder out of the black tube/cylinder. You won't break anything.

    thanks mate
none have dropped but they just seem loose within the black holder and just thought it could be causing some irregular fueling, I assume once you have removed the white holders you can then adjust also the needle e.g leaner or richer by moving to different positions?

OK... my slides seem to be OK, they are nice and tight but how do I adjust the needles to the 2nd groove?
Everything I have seen say 2nd groove is from the top and that spacer wont go any higher.

That spacer should come off the top of the clip, then remove the clip from the 3rd slot down, and fit it back to the 2nd slot down then refit the spacer and fit it back into the carby
The spacer may have a couple of burr's holding it to the slot's on the needle
The needle clip set's the height of the needle, so it wont matter if the needle is sitting down inside the spacer a little

OK.. Thanks... all done now :)
I just wasnt sure on the spacer.
I have set the mixture screws at 2 turns back rather than the 1.5 turns so it will be interesting to see how it runs... tomorrow

Hi, Im about to (when I get motivated) clean my carbies and check/adjust the needle position, and just in case I need a slide I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy these locally in perth?
