    Hi All,

Excuse my lack of mechanical knowledge  :icon_scratch: but i have a question about high flow air filters.  I have just ordered a K&N air filter for my SV which is a carburetted model.  According to the blurb the filter allows more air flow through compared to the standard one.  Do i need to worry about rejetting or tuning the bike if i fit the air filter even though it is still running the stock exhaust and can?  I have been told it may lean it out a bit which may cause long term engine drama.  But some of the info gleened off other forums suggests that i could install aftermarket cans as well and not worry about rejetting/tuning.  Any experience, knowledge or ideas you could pass on would be great.  Thanks for your help.

I am not a expert on this but if you increase the air flow you will effect the air fuel mixture and I would be looking at retuning to suit the new filter or you may not get full advantage of power increase with better air flow.
