    the rocks won't tear up the jacket - they will roll like marbles underneath whereas the smooth wet tar will work very much like wet and dry sandpaper if hit at speed and the friction will grip and then tear

    think about road surfaces under tyres - for traction - I'd choose smooth tar over coarse blue metal - even if it's free from anything loose

    Not lose rocks, rocks embedded in the dirt, that tore the engine cases and fairings to pieces
    Large, sharp edge, embedded in dirt, Aldi stuff is ****. You get what you pay for, you are protecting your body, pay what you think it's worth

    Thats nasty road rash. I wouldnt be contesting the quality of the dririder, i prefer my 10yr old hand me down over my aldi jacket. But the quality of my aldi jacket (to me) looks ok. I dont wear my aldi one anymore as i tend to run hot and the ventilation isnt sufficient. Even on my ride home at midnight in this weather ive got the vents still open

    Managed to pick up the last XL textile jacket and pants plus a Bluetooth helmet headset from my Grandma's local ALDI on Sunday.

    The microphone quality isn't the best but the headphones seem fairly clear. I can't complain much about microphone quality for the $60 asking price considering it's mainly going to be used for GPS directions and music anyway!

    @risky I already have 3 pairs of socks from last year! :p

    Some kind of HUGE cheap torque wrench. Came with 17, 19 and 21 mm sockets and an extension bar.

    Hopefully this means no more loose axles and wrecked rear brake assemblies! :D

    Might need to invest in some deep sockets next.
