I got another XS 1100 for parts, 90% complete.
The problem is there's too much of it so I'll want to make 2 bikes & on & on it goes.
It's happening with the FZR's, there's virtually 4 of them now.
Linkin's sending down some much needed parts & I'll have enough for the 3rd one
The MV arrived, goes like stink. But he's pulled it down & cleaned it up to showroom condition, cut the chain rivet link & couldn't get another to match, eventually had to order it from the dealer & it's being shipped from Italy.
Watch what link you use, they vary slightly from size to size & different brands, he' a perfectionist too.

@risky, most depots are use to bikes/cars and a fairly gentle with them and only clean what is required.

Very nice, will have to get some pics when it arrives

And just out of curiosity how much is the shipping process costing you? I've got a nice old xs750 sitting in NJ I've been wanting to bring over for a while

nj to cal would be 495 us +1200oz shipping to oz port plus gst10% on price plus import duties. you need a bill of sale and a CERTIFICATE OF TITLE. no title no leave states unless dismantle and bring in as parts.

i am thinking customs may have a problem with me allowing that. when i started the shipment a couple weeks ago i got asked my my counterparts for dg paper work. ended up telling them not to worry about it and went with my old agent. guns on there own are not classed as dangerous goods and if you ask for dg paperwork i don't want you doing my shipment.

i reckon one look and seized.political correctness gone stupid. the person handling the gun is the worry.in the right hands a bolt action is as fast or almost as a semi auto.pisto;ls are also a no no but chinese copies are easily obtained by the crims.

I've got all the papers for it, dunno if that's really worth spending like 2 grand though unless it was a more valuable bike, probably just leave it for whenever I go back there (dual citizenship ftw)

I feel for you Risky. I can't tell you how much I detest government departments and the politicians who are not qualified to be in the position of writing endless new laws. Well I could, but I would offend so many people that it is better that I don't. :)
Hope you get the CBX back to it's original state soon and you can post some pics.
