Howdy. I've got a couple of hundred bucks to spare at the moment and was considering a new lid (or possibly a new jacket, but we'll skip that, LOL ).
One of the possibilities is an AGV K3 SV and there seems to be quite a divide between those who say it's noisy and those who say it's okay.
I know it's deeply subjective and I know it's a lot about fit (I have a quite narrow/long head) but I thought I'd ask if any of you currently use one and what do you think about noise levels.
CRASH (http://www.crash.org.au/ratings.php) rate it at 97.05 db, which is just a tad noisier than my current RJays at 96.87 and I think the RJays is pretty noisy, though that may be because it's no longer as tight as when I bought it.....

I have the AGV K3 so no sunvisor and not quite as pointy
I find it's a bit noisy but still pretty good, you can hear yourself talking over any wind noise
They are well priced, i think you'd need to spend another hundred or two to get something quieter

There are a couple of member's with them here, not sure on review's

Yeah, my budget is sort of $400 or so, so the other one on my list is the Kabuto Aeroblade 3 or possibly the RT33.
I can't be certain but I'm pretty sure the K3 was a pretty quiet helmet but it got noisier when they switched to the K3 SV with the visor. If K3's were still around I'd by one; I don't need the visor as I wear script sunnies anyway.

I used to have one before it got nicked. Quite comfortable, I love AGV helmets so I think good value for money. But yes, a bit on the noisy side with comparison to others.
