Aqua Blasting, Vaqua Blasting, Wet Blasting, what ever you want to call it, I do Wet Blasting and I thought I might post up some pics of 250cc bike parts that I have cleaned.

I use C, AD and AH sized beads...

If you are interested in the process, please read here - http://blastjournal.com/what-is-wet-abrasive-blasting/

I am happy to do Wet blasting for $50 per 30 min block for forum members, you can ship your items to me and I will clean them and ship them back or drop by the shop at Capalaba and I will try and do them on the spot.

    MC22 Sump - time taken, 15 mins

    Looks good.
I am sure that you are well aware, but just in case, you might need to explain to customers that send things with oil galleries about the risks of blast media.

good point Blair, I do hose off everything that has been blasted, I then use the air hose to blow everything out, but it does come with the disclaimer that there may be some residual media.

I scored a wet blasting job for a 1964 Fiat, came out tops.

Thats perfection, anyone who restores cars or bikes wants them looking like this. Id assume it gets plenty wet in there too, what psi is required?

I run between 60 and 80 psi of air when blasting, plus there is a 3 phase electric motor driving the water and glass beads before the air is introduced, you have to hold onto the parts or they can go flying in the cabinet

Are you advertising the Vapour Blasting part of your business on all the automotive/motorcycle facebook page's ? vintage and classic's restoration's etc
You could drop some flyer's in to all the local mechanic's and Coffee, Car's and Bike meet's, Swap meet's etc etc
You might need to get someone in as a full time Vapour Blaster when word get's out !

It's weird. The satisfaction in seeing that stuff all come up brand new is strangely compelling!!

Did some wet blasting for a former workmate, she is restoring a Honda cb400n , love the way the comstar mag and brake caliper came out, still a few bits of yellow left on the mag but it is getting closer

Wet blasted MC22 engine cases for Russell at Chainline Motorcycles at Wellington Point, he is rebuilding the engine and fitting a EFI system, looking forward to seeing this project progress.
