Anyone have a good 54012-1439 sitting around? Pull cable for ZXR250. Apparently it's NLA. Im back working on the ZXR and the throttle is only opening 2/3rds, im thinking the cables are stretched, and they're all shattered up at the handlebar end anyhow. Anyone got anything for me?
Welcome back Don't have anything personally, but these guys have the pull (opening) cable in stock and it matches your part number https://www.motorcyclespareswarehou...ottle-open-cable?_pos=14&_sid=bf16a9ea1&_ss=r Alternatively try Impex: https://en.impex-jp.com/catalogs/mo...-cosmic-gray-t4-japan-6243/cables-363896.html
local bike shop, or order online... "universal throttle cable". select correct nipple, out with a blowtorch and solder (fray the end of the cable a bit so it doesnt pull through, though i prefer using silver solder), done... nice if you have the OEM outer casing, they often have an extra adjusting doodad...
I have some universal cables- but my outer casing is shattered at the control. I even bought the universal one to use on this bike, but I’m saving it for when I do my FI single throttle body- If my sheath and guide were good, ida already have tried to figure out making the right length that opened stuff properly.
Ordered from Spares Warehouse! The ride cost as much as the part, let’s see how much I get to pay in duty/tarriffs when my dipshit government gets in the way of going fast. Between mega zip, spares warehouse and whatnot I coulda bought another bike. Pay to play, I guess. ‘Murrica.
meh. the outer cases are pretty universal... mower shop, throttle cable. bicycle shop, brake cable... gear shifter cable is thinner but also, like throttle cable, more flexible. wound differently to the brake cable inner... me being me, id just go raid the mowers out the back... can you tell i have no love of paying extra for OEM? figuring out lengths? the more you play with them, the easier it gets... just make sure you start with it being too long...
murica? try straya! spindles for my walker mower... found them for $50 US. to get them here, sent over? close to $1000 (600US) with 3rd party shipping agencies, and the exchange rate. local shops try to sell me the whole gearbox assembly.... $2,500... you guys dont know how lucky you are in some regards... wanna do me a favour and send me a pair? lol...
ooooh... i just might... not yet? was only joking but if youre up for it... have to do some digging again to make sure this is the right one, https://salempwr.com/776450-output-shaft/ somehow its held up all season, just waiting for it to let go... ones bent, ones cracked. pulled fences down, found some goodies buried... like a truck axle 3 foot deep with an inch exposed? coming into autumn so every chance i just get something else anyway before next season... though walkers do cut nicely... whatever, will PM you if need be
