Hi Guys. Any Forum members live up near Hervey Bay and any chance that you know someone that is heading into to NSW. Been ringing around getting prices to transport a small road bike but the freight costs are more that what the bike is worth (again)!.Have even tried the local removalist's from that area but same deal. Thought i'd ask here just in case , more than happy to pay for your time.

Have a look on gumtree for removalists in Harvey bay , you might get some cheap transport if they are having troubles filling the truck.

Hmm interesting choice of colour... Kawasaki Green..
What have they done to the seat? Not sure what that would be worth...Or why @2valve would want it... his is so much better than that one... really doesn't need much in the way of restoration either...
There are 2 for sale in Gumtree.. 1 in Mitcham Vic for $2K and 1 in Sydney for $1.8K.

Main reason is parts to be honest , as no doubt i'll need them. It's a pain in the country as it takes forever for parts to arrive and if i could get this one the project will keep moving along.

Seriously... I don't think you need many parts... your bike is so original and in pretty good nick considering its age... It is far better than any of the $1800 to $2000 bikes around.
You have a spare frame, swing arm, rear shock and a few other bits...
Bearings, seals, brakes etc are all available new so they are no worry... the only things you really need are the bellypan and the side covers...as well as having your fork tubes re-chromed (I don't think you will find any that are better 2nd hand).
    Just my opinion mind... :)

Remember yours is a matching numbers bike... and on a 32 year old bike that is impressive...

So DR wasn't able to assist with transport?

You could ask the seller if he knows anyone doing a run to Brisbane and store it here until you come up

Yes Buddy, noticed the slightly modified SRX 250 on Bikesales, he's done a lot of work on it. It's a shame he has to sell it as i do feel for him as iv'e been that road before. I did notice the other SRX for sale on Gumtree without the picture , been like that for a bit time wise. Still haven't sold my old bike parts as yet , the purchaser was going to pick them up before x-mas but never showed so everything is still on hold .But will sit back and wait to see if someone else spots the add and rings about them.Just remembered had a text from a supposedly buyer from the USA , (looked up there email address) but will take this with a grain of salt.
