Can confirm. Bikelette was $1300 and free to list, sold instantly, unfortunately. Buyer was from Bikesales (listed her elsewhere also). Binky is $3500ish, cost me $40 to list, 5 months of my (and her) life and most of my sanity. Still for sale.

Take from that what you will.

Gumtree being free (mostly) must be hurting them. Their limit was $2000 before.

    That's a good point.

I think more so than the cost is that Gumtree is also very front and centre about the location of the item, which Bikesales is not. At all. First line when opening gumtree on mobile is the area the thing is in. Super helpful when you're talking about things that can't be posted....like vehicles. Bikesales, solely focused on vehicles, you only get the state on the search page on mobile. When you go into the listing for a particular bike it doesn't even give you that unless you click 'send enquiry' then it will give suburb and state. I'm all kinds of ticked off about that as a seller in a rural location.

Bikesales should be worried. They're failing on very basic points.
