Well, I did indeed sleep in and missed the ride figuratively speaking. Saturday rain came so I stopped home. Sunday got off to a late start and left the sunny coast at 7.30 to head down. I rode 185km's to Queensland raceway and froze most of the way, the last 10k's my knees wouldn't stop banging the side of the tank, **** it was cold! journey took 2 hours exactly.

Parked the bike and headed down pit lane looking at some great bikes. Spotted the food and drinks and made a rapid move in that direction. After consuming a bacon&egg burger and a cup of mud I began to thaw out. Watched some racing and wandered around.

Spotted a group of riders coming through and there was Chris followed by Tyson. Caught up with all the guys and admired Brizfox's NSR, brought back fond memories and his mate on the TZR and Trent on the R6.
Soon it was time to get 3 laps in (high-light of the day for me). Nobody seemed to obey the speed limit as I was getting passed by all, time to turn up the wick a little and really enjoyed giving the old Bandit some stick into the corners, great fun indeed.

A fun day was had by all, we all agreed that more laps of the track were in order, that was awesome.
Another segment that I really enjoyed was the bikes, some incredible machines. Chris's photo's showed some gems, so much to look at. My impression is this, the Italians have arrived in big numbers. Some gems from all the Italian manufactures were on display and man, they looked fabulous!

After lunch and all to soon it was time to hit the road again, great to catch up with everyone. Pulled in to grab some fuel as we left and was pleasantly surprised with the Bandit using 9L of fuel for 210K's.
Had a great day even if I did sleep in..........who cares!:D
