Today I started re-assembling the bike, and hooked up the Healtech Quickshifter (iQSE2). It was actually more simple than I thought. There are four wires to connect, two green which piggyback off the pickup coil, one red which needs switched power, and an earth. The only other parts are the shift sensor and module itself. Setup is done wirelessly via bluetooth on a smartphone.

Currently on auto/adaptive mode with ignition cut timing of 85ms, which should be more than enough.

    It Verks!

BMW LED indicators fitted. Makes it look a bit more modern. Got some carbon fibre bits coming - the headlight infill panels, frame covers and coolant reservoir cover.

5 days to full license, getting excited!!

Wow, those photos are so high resolution that I can not only see where the paint is scratched off the tail and the black speck on the right tail lens, but I can see the dust! :-D Any better and forensics will be running prints! (CSI would simply "enhance" the reflection in the mirrors are read DNA off the tank:D)

So the R6 has been pretty happy, moving forward I plan to address the following:

Rear suspension clunk - got new bearings, seals, spacers etc for the swingarm, linkages and shock mounts on the way.

Tuning - Delegating it to RB racing in Caringbah on my boss's recommendation

Gear changing / clutch - Clutch is grabby and is impeding gear shifts, the plan is to get an EBC kevlar clutch kit with steels, friction plates and springs, then see if the basket/hub/pressure plate need changing.

I have ordered some shiny carbon fibre bits but they are on backorder and are weeks/months away...

Make sure it isn't something silly like a spring that is slack (more common on dirt bikes when they wind the preload off too far).

Got my R6 back from RB racing, it's been jetted down from 148 outer /152 inner mains to 145 mains all around, it feels nice, crisp and responsive.

Indicators weren't working, flasher unit carked it, battery went flat so out and on charge.

Deduced that the bike was starving for fuel when hot and commuting in the city... found the supercheap fuel filter not flowing very well (the old blow test), new one and new lines as the tank sat with the line clamped for some time.

Seems to be better now but will give it a proper shakedown, maybe this weekend or later at the track.

    Love this bike :)

Proves yet again that you don't always need to go bigger jets when changing mufflers. Jet to what the engine needs/wants, not what some facebook 'expert' thinks.

Here are the dyno charts. Red is standard, blue is after jetting. Bugger all in it.Power is more or less the same with a teeny bit more at the very top, feels better, AFR is slightly leaner all over. If it was fuel injected the AFR would be much closer to a flat line at the target ratio.

    A68455CB-F580-4F11-A473-36BE121D954C.jpeg FFEEF84F-CA6E-407B-B00B-FC3D1EE116F6.jpeg

I still need to tune the mixture screws to get it idling nicer and not be so lumpy down low. It feels very flat until about 4K RPM where it picks up and goes.
