So I thought I’d post here and Payne start the discussion and see what comes out of it from the powers that be.

So little back story, races karts n cars for years, international for karts been around racing most my life, understand that was never gonna make it because of money as I’m not from the lucky sperm club.

changed direction and was a super car mechanic for tekno and stone brothers for about 6 years, so full bottles on the ficalty of racing and the costs....

Now I fully understand I’m not an amazing rider of a bike by no means, and I don’t bukkshit myself to think otherwise.

But I have this massive urge to one day do a road race in Europe, don’t care if I’m 50 and it’s an exhibition, I know you need to race in the Ireland road races to qualify for an entry at the isle , but that’s not necessarily what I’m asking,

again I’m not a wank that thinks he’s amazing rider, or all that, was just curious as my partners grandfather races in Ireland, was just wondering can it still be done?? Even on like a small capacity class

again not going to be competitive etc just would love to have one go

    can it be done??

flat no is an acceptable answer lol

I would say yes it would be. There are plenty of classic races for bikes, but I don't know enough about how to do it. Check some of the English classic magazines as they often have write-ups of meetings both in UK and Europe.
Go for it, live your dreams.
