Info Camshaft holder ball bearings - ZXR250-C

    Hi all

    Quick one, are these ball bearings supposed to move?
    Im assuming they let oil into the camshaft holder to distribute oil into the camshafts?

    Looks like they are there to keep oil, and pressure, in.

    1937 Royal Enfield 250, CF Moto 250 V5, Honda's XL250, CBR250, FT500 plus a few others.
    They might have been used to block off the oil gallery after machining. Note the indents to hold the balls in place.

    Once an intersecting passage way is drilled it's just simple way to block it off again.
    They use the same idea to block gallery's in some carby's etc too

    Ahh ok i get ya, after machining it out i guess, easier than welding it back :D
