Made a page for the Fuel/Float level for BDST carbs. These are the type used on the 3LN series. All contributions from manuals without mistakes are welcome.

Sorry Mr Grey, I stole your pics. Just send me a bill :)

And this is the fuel level for the the 2KR & 3HX from @Aerojake which seems to be correct. The fuel level is 17.5mm below the top line (red) in this image.

I have to add Ruckusmans 16mm playing card mod and the 10.2mm for 3LN7 if I can find it

    Thanks Mr Grey
I have added that now. All criticism welcome.
Just Zeal and the 3LN7 to add. What document did that 3LN7 value of 10.2mm come from?

Was always a bit confused as to how light a kiss of float tang with spring spigot, guess mine were deep and intense coz... I'm getting better results with a calibrated drain. Went from 40 to 37ml and sootiness has gone (those may not be precise figs coz of meniscus)

I found the meniscus to be difficult to judge in thin tube, measuring the volume of the fuel in the bowl is a good way to go about it IMO

After testing header temp flatstick uphill and then at bottom using IR thermo, tweaked heights. Redid measurements: my std LN3 has sandy plugs at 40ml. Piglet, with Zeal cams & headers and nasty fuel consumption, needed to go lower ie 37ml else plugs were reddish brown. My lord, this is a fine tolerance.

That's a great technique you've developed measuring the actual fuel bowl volume - congrats.

Interested to know the performance difference with Zeal cams - I've compared a set to some 3LN1 and the Zeal cams are narrow and pointy versus a rounder egg shape for the 3LN1

Shoulda mentioned that both are LN6 carbs with full Viton. So LN6/Zeal cams in an LN3 are a beautiful thing due to smooth torque earlier. But I wanted top-end so persevered with headers. Haven't dynoed other than long steep climb where LN3 just holds 95k, but Piglet comes over at 110ks (despite detuned main jets, for economy)
