Hi folks, some will know I have a GSXR250R on the operating table, its been a while since ive done anything to it as its winter here (blighty) and its been pretty harsh as well, so I took & passed my test and got a very unloved Honda CBR600 (very cheap).

It was missing the front fairing, as someone had decided to 'Street Fighter' it. What a total bodge job! the wiring harness was simply chopped at the front, literally cut off!, there was no oil in the poor thing....not even a air filter! the frame is all corroded (we get salt put on our roads in the winter Grrrr) the wheel paint was blistering and the alloy underneath was turning to dust.

Anywho, I have rescued the poor beast from certain death. I have been working (outside) over the winter on it (as the gsxr250 takes up the small shed space I have) I have had to get second hand bits n' bobs to patch the old girl up (1996 F3)

things I have done so far....
    1. Replaced wiring to the loom from a second hand loom.
    2. Changed the troublesome 'Auto Cam Tensioner' for a manual one.
    3. Sourced a front fairing/Instrument cluster Bracket.
    4. Sourced a instrument cluster/clocks.
    5. Purchased second hand broken fairing panels
    6. Filled with oil.
    7. Fitted new Air Filter
    8. Cleaned out the carbs and Balanced
    9. Changed the plugs for iridium ones
    10. Found a screen and fitted
    11. Sourced a headlight (it didn't have one)
    12. Sourced front indicators.
    13. Freed-off front and rear brakes (serviced callipers & new pads)
    14. Cleaned all brake discs
    15. Sanded & painted the forks
Plus loads of other things I cant recall just now. Here are a few pictures.....

Wow! Nice wiring work on the fighter. Hee Hee!
@kiffsta posted a funny video some time ago that was a satire of butchered bikes and the viewer was being asked to make a donation.

Nothing a bit of love and attention wont fix. Of course time and money will help.

Only salt roads we have here are the ones hundreds of Kms away in the desert (but you can go VERY fast there with no speed police).

Salt kills our bilbikes over in the UK, especially when the bike in question has been ragged to within an inch of it's life.

Honestly! The Muppet who severely neglected this bike should be banne. He got a can of black spray paint and literally sprayed everything, over spray on everything, more pictures to follow.

The good news is that its 'finished' (for now at least). 'FLASH' is running like a dream now.

Above is how it looks now, these pics are of the bike last week, with the old 'Red' fairing panels on, which I had painted Black. The Bike goes like a Stabbed Rat now lol.......
