Just thought I would throw a thread up confirming that the ZR250 Wheel fits the ZXR250 perfectly, which means you can look for 140/70-17 tyres instead of 140/60-18, which are very limited in options.

140/70-17 has everything from Michelin Road 5 to full race tires available. I am getting a set of ContiMotions, since they seem to have decent life and wet grip, coming into Winter.

    Cheers

What do you have to carry over with the wheel? Axle? Brake? I tried this with ZXR400 and nothing matches…

I just have the wheel I got from a wrecker.

The wheel I got has a sprocket and cush drive, but I will be checking to see which rubbers are best and using those. Obviously I will be using the old ZXR sprocket that matches my chain.

The wheel I got didn't have a brake disk, but the ZXR one bolts straight on.

THe ZR250(Balius) uses what looks like an identical swingarm to the A model ZXRs. I have a C Model, but the fit is pretty much identical from what I can tell.

Everything else is ZXR parts, Axle, spacers etc.
