So... multiple searches come up with the correct battery being an RTZ10-S but when I look at the Maintenance Manual it specifies a YTX7A which is quite a difference in CCA and Amp/hr ratings... Opinions please as there doesn't seem to be much of a difference in price on FleaBay...
Get the biggest/most CCAs that will fit. I use Motobatts in most of my bikes and have only had one crook one (which was replaced without question).
Does your bike have a battery in it now ? I like the SSB XR series dry cell (agm) battery's, mine has been faultless The RTZ10S is equivalent size to this SSB dry cell battery (210cca) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Battery-...529884?hash=item338c61775c:g:KMkAAOxyFd1SJUB2
No... hence my reason for asking... That is the one I have been eying off... I laughed at the guy from Battery World when he quoted the Yuasa at $219 and his "cheap" alternative at $159... I didn't pay that much for the Super Duty one in my Scirocco R let alone for a little bike.. lol Decision made I think.
You want to equal to or exceed the CCA specified by the manual. More CCA, easier cold start. I buy SSB's last one I got was $55 posted for the CB. Worked fine, had more CCA than the katana equivalent from battery world which by memory was double the price.
they've got a YTX7L-BS at supercheap, you cold measure it for fit if they've got one in store http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Katana-Motorcycle-Battery-YTX7L-BS/322319
Looks like the terminals are in the right place on both models, the across does need a decent battery to run properly.
