    Hi All,

I'm doing the Coil over Plug (COP) conversion/modification and have managed to break a small piece. I don't want to wait 2 weeks for another from eBay, so I'm heading off to Jaycar to try and source a replacement. Does anyone know if the piece in the pic with the arrow has a name/type/size? It will make finding one a little easier. Also, are there connectors meant to just plug in to the plug? I've had issues getting them to fit properly. They sometimes pop out when plugged into the coil. They appear to be seated properly, but then the male tab pushes the connector out of the plug. Is there a particular wire you need to use?

    I'm crap with electrical stuff.

    Thanks

    Frankster

It's a variety of a female spade terminal and common size is 6.3mm. The locking tab should be on the back unless it is damaged.

Jaycar is your best bet..take an example in with you as they have a lot of connectors
    https://www.jaycar.com.au/3-pin-miniature-nylon-molex-type-connector/p/PP2023

make sure all the pins are straight and lined up, the connectors should make an audible click when pushed on the coil.....
ooops may have miss read the OP the pins go in only one way...on the cheapies the plastic retaining tab may need to be bent down then gently push in the pin....

Try bending the little locking tab's back out.

On mine, there were coloured locking plastic pieces that push into the connector after the pins are inserted.
