Hi I have a question maybe someone can help answer... Does a cbr250rr 4 cylinder engine have any chance of fitting inside an rs125 frame? Before you say this is a dumb idea please let me say that i'm just asking for informational reasons and I'm not worried about how impractable it may be. Thanks
mate, if you were in Brisbane Australia I would say bring your frame over as I have a spare engine here
Thanks haha although not possible unfortunately. By the way for anyone reading I mean an Aprilia rs125.
Unfortunately, unless someone has specifically attempted to do that exact thing before I don't think you're going to get any clear answers. You're better off measuring things up yourself and doing a bit of work then coming back and asking how to make it fit based on what you have already done. Good luck.
KTM640 LC4 fit's with a few mod's http://advrider.com/index.php?threa...-you-combine-and-rs-125-and-a-640-lc4.874714/
If anyone knows the width of the engine that would help. It seems i can't find it's dimensions so far. I'm not sure it would fit though, seeing as it looks a little bigger (and heavier) than i first though.
I will give you any measurements you require if you give me measurements in return. 1. Talk to @maelstrom about the USD fork database and provide him the fork measurements for his database in relation to your RS125 2. provide me the frame measurements for the engine bay as best you can. I actually think if its possible the RS125 with an mc22 engine would be a fantastic combination IF its doable. It would almost be like a little R6 or thats what it reminds me of when I think about it.
Thanks for the helpful responses, though I should make clear I don't currently own an rs125 (though probably purchasing one fairly shortly). It was more a broad in theory question... If the frame/engine would even be close to fitting. No point in dreaming of one day creating it when the engine has no chance of fitting.
Ahh well either way it is a cool thought, an rs125 with 4cyl config and 45hp would be a weapon of a bike.
