    FAN THERMOSWITCH

The fan thermoswitch controls the radiator fan..

It is located on the thermostat housing, which is on the right side of the bike behind the radiator.
It has two wires attached. The temperature sensor for the temp gauge, is also located on the thermostat housing and has only one wire attached.

Electrically it needs to switch on when the water temperature gets to 102 degC and rising and off at 97 degC falling, temperatures which you should be able obtain in a frypan with cooking oil.

If it does not switch (test with a mutimeter on the ohms range) then replace.

Check what thread is used and you may be able to buy a suitable one at an auto shop (Repco, Bursons, Autobarn or Supercheap etc)
